COURT APPOINTED SPECIAL ADVOCATES GOLF TOURNAMENT

Our fall Golf Tournament benefits CASA, a program where volunteers are trained and empowered by the Court to meet children one on one and then give them a helping hand navigating the Court System. The Tournament is held at Spring Creek Golf Course in Ripon, and is always a terrific, exciting, and well supported event. The Tournament date has not been set for 2010. More information will be coming.

CHICKEN-A-GO-GO

The North Modesto Kiwanis have been holding this famous Chicken Barbecue for fund raising for over 40 years. We've literally served more than 125,000 chicken dinners (thanks to our community). The secret recipes for the chicken and beans have always been a big hit with our regular customers, and many special Sunday events are planned around our box dinners. The meal include a generous serving of delicious chicken, beans, salad, and a roll. The date this Spring is Sunday, May 2, 2010. We'll see you at Davis Park (near Davis High School). SONOMA GAMES

The North Modesto Kiwanis holds Sonoma Games every year for Special Ed kids. Everyone comes away from this special day with a full heart and appreciation of what optimism and attitude mean in life. We're already looking forward to next year's 2009 competition, schedule to be announced and to be held at Sonoma Elementary, at Orangeburg and Sonoma in Modesto.
